The Bhavani Mata temple is a very ancient temple situated in the Pratapgarh Fort in Maharashtra state of India. It is believed that Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of Maratha Kingdom was blessed by goddess Bhavani and gifted him her sword.

During the Navaratri festivals (Nine night day festivals), thousands of devotees visit this temple and offer their prayers. The architecture of this temple is very attractive and you can find two very old pillars inside the temple.

The view of the valleys and the mountain ranges from this temple is very enchanting. There is a small pond near this temple which is very old.
