St. Michael church is one of the oldest churches in Mumbai (Bombay). It is a catholic church and was built in 1565 according to documents which prove its existence.

In 1854, Hartmann, the then Bishop lost the control over the church. So he built Our Lady of Victory church near St. Michael’s church by raising funds. The St. Michael’s church was rebuilt in 1973, which is the current structure.

Being a Catholic church, devotees who are Catholics, are keen on attending masses and functions in the church. The church gets a glorious appearance during Christmas celebrations.
