Patakatha is a dance drama which incorporates the four styles of Manipuri dance. The story of this performance was based on the story of the tale of Potua or Chitrakar (rural Painters) whose art is under threat in this cyber age. The production portrays the Pouta's glorious past, the rude awakening to the changing needs of the modern world, and the consequent re-inventing of Potua's art.

It was performed by Poushali Chatterji and Nandanik Mainpuri dance Academy from Manipur at Nishangandhi dance festival held at Thiruvananthapuram in the year 2008.
