Patakatha is a dance on the story of evolution based on the story of the tale of Potua or Chitrakar (rural Painters) whose art is under threat in this cyber age. This dance drama incorporates the four styles of Manipuri Dance.

This dance rendition was performed by Poushali Chatterji and Nandanik Mainpuri dance Academy from the state of Manipur at Nishangandhi dance festival held at Thiruvananthapuram in the year 2008.
