Patakatha: A story of evolution, a dance recital by Poushali Chatterji and Nandanik Mainpuri dance Academy party from the state of Manipur at Nishangandhi dance festival held at Thiruvananthapuram in the year 2008.

It is a dance drama incorporating the four styles of Manipuri Dance. Patakatha depicts the tale of Potua or Chitrakar (rural Painters) whose art is under threat in this cyber age. The production portrays the Pouta's glorious past, the rude awakening to the changing needs of the modern world, and the consequent re-inventing of Potua's art.
