Smt. Vijayalakshmy Subramaniam is one of the noted Carnatic vocalists in Kerala. She has conducted numerous workshops and lecture-demonstrations on the various aspects of Carnatic Music. 

Apoorva Kriti Manjari – a collection of twenty rare compositions on the Trinity of Carnatic Music is a book written by Smt. Vijayalakshmy on Carnatic music. The book has notations in English and Tamil languages.
