The father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi was remembered all over the country on his 139th birth anniversary. President Prathibha Patel and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh led the nation in paying homage to Mahatma Gandhi at his memorial in Raj Ghat in New Delhi, India. While Gandhiji’s favourite bhajan “Raghupathi Raghava Raja Ram” was sung in the background. Hundreds of people thronged similar venues across the nation to pay homage to Gandhiji.
