Featured in this video is Jagannath Temple, one of the most famous temples in India, situated in the State of Orissa. The temple dedicated to Lord Jagannath (Lord Krishna) was established in the 12th century CE. Located around 60 km from Bhubaneswar, the foundation stone of this temple was laid by Raja Ananta Varman Chodaganga Dev.
The legend associated with this temple describes that King Indradyumna in his dream saw Lord Jagannath and as per the lord’s wish constructed the Jagannath temple.

The English word ‘Juggernaut’ meaning giant slow moving machinery came from the huge temple chariots of the Jagannath temple, which are drawn through the streets during the annual chariot or Rath Yatra festival.
