Punjab is a North West state which has to tell a lot about the freedom struggule of India. Though historically important, Punjab popularly known as the land of five rivers has a rich cultural heritage. The name the ‘Land of Five Rivers’ comes due to the five tributaries of the Indus River - Beas, Chenab, Jhelum, Ravi, and Sutlej. The people here spoke the language Punjabi and the state is considered to be origin of Indus Valley Civilization.
