Narivalaya Dakshin Gola at Jantar Mantar, Jaipur

The Narivalaya Dakshin Gola at Jantar Mantar in Jaipur is used to find whether the heavenly bodies are in the northern or southern hemisphere.

A World Heritage Site, Jantar Mantar is an observatory with religious significance and consists of fourteen major geometric devices for measuring time, predicting eclipses, tracking stars' location and more such scientific calculations. The site was built by Maharaja Jai Singh II at his then new capital of Jaipur in Rajasthan between 1727 and 1734.
