The group of monuments at Mahabalipuram

Mahabalipuram is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its ancient Pallava group of monuments dating from the sixth to tenth century AD. This heritage site is situated on the Coromandal coast to the south of Chennai in Tamil Nadu state, India. The monuments here include stone rathas (temples consturted in the form of chariots), mandapas and the famous Shore temple.
