Raya Gopuram, an unfinished temple gate-tower of Vijayanagara period which shows the typical decoration on jambs. It is the second Vijayanagara monument at Mahabalipuram and is embellished with Vijayanagara style of carvings. Mahabalipuram or Mammallapuram, UNESCO World Heritage Site is situated on the Coromandal coast to the south of Chennai, the capital city of the state.
