Coming under the North Eastern Frontier Railway (NFR), Agartala Railway station is one of the busiest stations in north-east India. Agartala is the capital of the state of Tripura and it appeared on India's rail map in 2008 and from then onwards there have been regular train services between Tripura and rest of the country.
