Entering the village of Agora in Uttarakhand one would be greeted by small and large fields of Ramdhani, which is a kind of grain used to make food by the villagers here. On the hill slopes, the fields are prepared in a terraced fashion to grow Ramdhani. The fields from a distance itself would catch one’s attention, because of the maroon coloured flower stalk of the plant. The grains are taken from this flower stalk to make food.
