Shantiniketan near Kolkata (Calcutta), West Bengal state of India is a very popular institution. Since Rabindranath Tagore established Shantiniketan, it is a place of historical importance. There is a banyan tree in Shantiniketan, which is very old and is one of the main attractions of this place.
