This video features Princep Ghat, a heritage building located in the city of Kolkata (Calcutta), West Bengal state in India. It was built in 1843 in memory of Sir James Princep, a renowned researcher and the erstwhile secretary of the Asiatic Society.

This monument is located near the Vidyasagar Sethu within the city of Kolkata. Since this popular destination is located on the banks of the river Ganga, Princep Ghat attracts a large number of tourists every year.

Being a place of importance, this building is jointly maintained by Kolkata Port Trust and Kolkata Municipal Corporation.
