Shantiniketan ashram in West Bengal state of India is situated at Bolpur, in Birbhum district. Shantiniketan is a small township situated to the north of Kolkata (Calcutta). It was Rabindranath Tagore, a famous poet and composer in Kolkata, who established Shantiniketan. It is a place of historical importance.

Since Tagore lived here, it is a major tourist attraction in West Bengal. This is a very beautiful place with lots of trees and shrubs.
