Manufactured by the Standard Motor Company in Coventry from 1947 to 1963, the Standard Vanguard Car was the primary model to carry the new Standard badge, which was a heavily stylized depiction of the wings of a Griffin. Also it was a fresh design with no similarities with previous models. It used to be a powerful car preferred much by hilly estate owners.
