Paying Guest - 1957

Another romantic comedy of Dev Anand with elements of drama and suspense. The film Paying Guest, directed by Subodh Mukherjee, was released in the year 1957. Dev Anand and Nutan played the lead roles. Dev appears in the role of Ramesh- an unsuccessful lawyer who in search of accommodation. Nutan’s performance in the film was much appreciated.

The film was noted for the fascinating sound track composed by S. D. Burman. The lyrics were penned by Majrooh Sultanpuri. Songs like O nigaah-e-mastaana became all-time hit.
