A ravine turned Rock Garden
Located at Chandigarh, in the State of Haryana, India is a well maintained sculpture garden, popularly known as the ‘Rock Garden.’ The garden was set up by Nek Chand, a retired government official.
A self-taught artist, Nek Chand started collecting materials from demolition sites around the city of Chandigarh and then chose a ravine in a forest near Sukhna Lake for his work.
Nek Chand started working on this beautiful garden without the knowledge of the outside world and the garden was unveiled to the public only after a long time. Also shown in this video is a souvenir shop inside the Rock Garden, which is often visited by a large number of tourists throughout the year.
