Promoting Herbal Plantation

Herbal plants are all the rage in Shimla these days. The idea is to make Himachal Pradesh into a greener state. The campaign has been called ‘Jan-Jan-Sanjivni’ and started in Shimla. The chief of the Forest Department stated the campaign by planting herbal plants in his residence. Afterwards saplings were distributed among the citizens. Approximately 13 lakh households are participating in the campaign, promoted by the state Forest Department, by planting herbal saplings in their home yards.
