Bharatanatyam by Anita Ratnam - Part IV

Bharatanatyam is a classical dance form which had its origin in Tamilnadu, south India. It is considered as one of the oldest forms of classical dance. Bharatanatyam is performed on the basis of theories set out in the book Natyasasthram.

It is the video which features artiste Anita Ratnam giving exuberant expression for Priye Charusheele, taken from Gita Govinda by Jayadeva, a great work from 12th century. Priye Charusheele is a repentant and desperate Lord Krishna pleading to win back his beloved Radha.
