Floriculture in Jammu and Kashmir

Farmers in border areas Jammu and Kashmir are shifting from traditional crops to cultivation of flowers, as floriculture is proving more lucrative. Introduced by the state floriculture department, floriculture has picked up big time in these areas and farmers unlike earlier times are saved from botheration of marketing their farm produce.
