Chandrayaan-1

Chandrayaan-1 is India’s first mission to venture beyond the earth’s orbit. After its launch recently, the spacecraft was first directed into an elliptical seven hour orbit around the earth, between 255 kms and 22,860 kms above earth. This trajectory will enable Chandrayaan-1 proceed to the moon after the fifth orbit raising maneuver.
