Garodi Sri Brahma Baidarkala Temple, Kasaragod

Famous for Nemotsava, an annual ritual dance festival, the Garodi Sri Brahma Baidarkala temple is located at Hosamane in Adukkathu Bayal in Kasaragod district of Kerala, India. The shrine is located close to the neighboring State of Karnataka, where the practice of Nemotsava or Bhuta Kola is followed every year during the months of March/April.

Bhuta Kola or spirit worship is an ancient ritual form of worship popular among the Tulu speaking community on the Kerala-Karnataka border, popularly known as the Tulu Nadu. Similar to Theyyam, dancers who perform ritual form of worship in Nemotsava are considered as representations of daivam (god). The temple is a place of great religious significance to the Billava community of Tulu Nadu.
