Golden Temple at Amritsar

Golden Temple, the most sacred temple for Sikhs, is located at Amritsar in Punjab. Also known as Harimandir Sahib, it houses the holy book of the Sikhs, the Guru Granth Sahib. In its architecture are included, symbols associated with other places of worship. The temple stands as an example of the spirit of tolerance and acceptance that the Sikh philosophy propounds.
