Pongal festival in Tamil Nadu

People celebrated Pongal festival in the company of elephants in Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu with traditional fervour and gaiety. The playful elephants stole the show. The function was organised at Top Slip situated in Indira Gandhi wild life sanctuary in Coimbatore. Over 20 elephants were taken in a procession to the venue where a large number of tourists were gathered to witness the Pongal Celebration with elephants.
