World Environment Day 2010

This video is an attempt to invite worldwide attention on the extent of human interventions on the face of our planet. On the occasion of World Environment Day on 05 June 2010, we appeal to all citizens of Earth to forward this video to as many people as possible.

This movie contains the video shots of the different species of birds from the forests of the State of Kerala, India and also those from Koonthakulam in Kerala’s nearby State of Tamilnadu, India, which is a noted destination for nesting and breeding of waterbirds. The tribal community portrayed in the video is called the Chola Nayikkans, who are natives of Nilambur forests, in north Kerala.

The video clips are by Suresh Elamon, Naturalist, Wildlife Photographer and Filmmaker. The movie was conceptualized and produced by Invis Multimedia for its online video encyclopedia project, www.indiavideo.org launched in association with UNESCO, New Delhi Office.
