National flag sales in Varanasi

Wholesale and retail shops selling the tri-colour national flags in Varanasi see an increase in sales this year ahead of Republic Day, inspite of an economic downturn. To push for higher sales these shop owners have introduced tri-colour hair bands, buns, caps, bands and badges that attract customers of all ages to make use of it on Independence and Republic Days.
