Taj Mahostav; a cultural carnival at Agra

A ten-day cultural carnival popularly known as Taj Mahotsav begins at Agra. The annual festival draws thousands of tourists from within the country and abroad. Organised by the state tourism department, Taj festival saw a huge participation on the first day of the event despite the hangover of a spate of terror attacks across the country last year. Traditional folk musicians, performing outside the venue of the festival, welcomed the visitors.
