Woman takes to making single frame sculptures

Sheer will and determination can help one achieving goals, China Pal and is one such person who succeeded where others said she cannot. China Pal’s father was a Durga Idol maker in Kolkata. He was a conservative artisan she who made single frame idols of goddess Durga for the five day Durga festival and thought women cannot enter into his profession. However after his death in 1994 his daughter took over the business of her father and media success of it through sheer will and determination. She is now a successful idol maker in Kolkata in West Bengal, India.
