Ramakrishna Institute, Kolkata
The Ramakrishna Institute is situated at Gol Park in Kolkata (Calcutta), West Bengal. It was founded in 1938.This famous institute is a branch of Ramkrishna Mission at Belurmath. The magnificent building was inaugurated by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in 1961.
Ramakrishna Institute is famous for educational and cultural activities. It promotes the unification of different cultures from all over the world. The institute houses a School of Languages, Vivekananda Archives, a Publication Department and a Centre for Research programs.
It also contains a library in which there are books related to almost all subjects. There is a museum and an art gallery within the institute with various artifacts.
