Himachal Pradesh government is planning to expand trout fish farming which is popular since 1991 by hundred units. Trout fish farming was first introduced in the state with the species Rainbow fingerling, which were brought from Norway. Most of the farmers are being trained by the Government and provided with the subsidies for raw materials for setting up of tanks.
