Vasisht Kund, Himachal Pradesh
Vasisht is a small picturesque village near Manali, a popular travel destination of Himachal Pradesh.
Primarily the village is famous for its hotwater springs. The water here is believed to possess medicinal properties.
The temple dedicated to Sage Vasisht is another attraction here. Vasisht was, according to Hindu mythology, the spiritual master of Lord Rama.
The temple is a pyramid shaped one. There are two hotwater pools inside the grounds of the Vasisht temple and it is why the shrine is known as VasishtKund (Kund is the local name for pool).
