Bactrian Camel at Nubra Valley

One of the attractions in the Nubra Valley, located in the Ladakh District of Jammu and Kashmir, India, is the double humped Bactrian camel. These gentle ungulates, which once widely roamed in parts of Central Asia and Tibet, are nowadays domesticated for their milk and fur. It is one of the two surviving species of camel.
