Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary, a beautiful sanctuary in Mysore, Karnataka. This bird sanctuary is situated on the banks of Kaveri River. Ranganathittu attained the status of a bird sanctuary in 1940, courtesy of the visions of India’s famous ornithologist Dr. Salim Ali who, during his survey of the birds of Mysore, advocated for the establishment of such a sanctuary. This bird sanctuary is a home to lot of migrating birds.
