Kathakalipadam is the accompanying music of Kerala’s most celebrated classical art form Kathakali. Kathakalipadams are composed in the sopanam style and has its literature coined in a comprehensive mixture of Sanskrit and Malayalam. In a Kathkali performance, the story of the drama is conveyed through Kathakalipadams. It is an authentic representation of Kerala’s music heritage.
