Govt. Arts College situated in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala, is one of the oldest educational institutions in the state. Started in 1866, this college is situated at Thycaud, in the heart of the city.

The college has its own heritage and always had the best teaching faculties in the state. Apart from academics, this institution has also made its mark in extracurricular activities.

This institute has been the recipient of R. Shankar Award for the best college on two occasions for its achievements in sports and games.
