About 'Edakkal neolithic caves'

Edakkal caves, a Neolithic cave site, have the petroglyphs dating back to the Stone Age. The caves are a part of Ambukuthi Hills of Western Ghats in Wayanad district of Kerala. Inside of the caves-two natural rock formations-one can find stone scripts, carved pictures of humans as well as animals, Swastik forms and antique symbols. Archaeologists consider the site as one of the earliest centres of human habitation.
