The beach at Muzhapilangad in Kannur district is the only drive-in beach in Kerala, which is about 4 kilometers long. This is a calm, serene, secluded and a must see travel destination. A drive on the golden sands of the shore is a not-to-miss experience.

The long stretch of beach is dotted with huge boulders and is thus secure from destructive deep currents. The shallow waters here is a swimmers paradise.

The palm groves surrounding the beach make it a cool shaded place even in the sultry weather. The beach offers a good view of the lush green Dharmadom island, located about 50 metres from the southern end of the beach.
