Kozhikode beach is situated about one km away from the city of Kozhikode (Calicut). The beach is excellent for sunset watching. An ideal picnic spot for families, the beach would entertain children who love to play in the surf.

The Lions Park and Marine Water Aquarium attached are a passion for children who visit the park. It is a busy evening, and the visitors and vendors crowd the beach, while the surf strikes the shore with gentle blows.

This beach has an old fashioned light house and two crumbling piers, each of which was constructed more than a hundred years ago. The piers extend out to the sea and one of them is seen in this video.
