Boating in the placid waters of Mattupetty dam is a not-to-miss experience for travelers to Munnar, an exciting hill station in Kerala. Mattupetty is situated at a height of 1700 m above sea level.

The main attractions here are a placid lake with a dam. Boating options in the dam are offered by the District Tourism Promotion Council. Speed launch, slow speed boat and motorboats can be hired. Nearby is a dairy farm where around 100 varieties of high yielding cattle are reared. The farm is part of the Indo-Swiss Project and is open to tourists.
