Mattupetty is an impressive location in Munnar, the celebrated South Indian hill station. The placid lake with a dam here is frequented by almost all travelers to Munnar. Well, the attractions do not end here…. the most interesting one is a cattle home and its gentle inmates.

This is a dairy farm where around 100 varieties of high yielding cattle are reared. The farm is part of the Indo-Swiss Project and is open to tourists. Cattle freely grazing on the rolling hills in the vast farm campus would be an offbeat tourist experience.
