The Athirappally waterfall is one of the better known waterfalls of Kerala, South India and is a favourite of tourists as a picnic spot and as a shooting location for movie makers. It is located in the district of Thrissur, at about 1000 ft above the sea level, and the water falls down from a height of 80 ft.

This waterfall also marks the entry to the famed Sholayar forests of Kerala. It is about 5 km away from another waterfall – Vazhachal within the same area, situated on the fringes of the Sholayar forests.
