Guruayoor Padmanabhan is one of the most famous elephants of Kerala owned by Guruvayoor Devaswom. He was gifted to the Guruvayoor temple by E.P.Brothers of Ottappalam in the year 1954.

Padmanabhan is a popular elephant who has all the majestic signs of an elephant. The privilege to carry the thidambu (replica of main idol) of Lord Guruvayoorappa belongs to Padmanabhan and he has been doing it since 1962.

He is also calm and obedient in behavior and has never created any trouble during festive occasions. It is believed that he has been blessed by Lord Guruvayoorappa.
