Featured in this video is the Bhimbetka Rock Shelter 3, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the State of Madhya Pradesh in India. Located in the Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh, Bhimbetka is noted for the early traces of human life.

Bhimbetka is also known as Bhima’s Lounge as it is associated with Bhima, a heroic character from the epic Mahabharata, renowned for his massive strength.

The word Bhimbetka is believed to have originated from Bhimbaithka, which means the sitting place of Bhima. Various Stone-Age rock paintings found among these rock shelters are around 30,000 years old.
