Maharashtrian folk dance, Lezium

It is a popular folk dance form of Maharashtra known as Lezim. This dance is named after a wooden idiophone to which thin metal pieces are fitted that produce sonorous sound and the dancers use this while dancing. Dholki, a drum instrument is used as the main percussion music.

This video clip has been shot at Nishagandhi festival 2008 held at Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala State, India.
