NGMA (National Gallery of Modern Arts) is an organization which comes under the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Department of the Government of India. It opened its Mumbai branch in 1996 and since then it has been conducting programs on regular basis in Mumbai city.

The building now houses variety of collections of artworks by various artists from all over the world. Art works which are very rare can also be seen in this gallery.

NGMA is situated opposite to the Prince of Wales museum, on the M.G. Road .The collection of art works exhibited ranges from contemporary Indian modern art to designs from all other countries including Pablo Picasso's works and Egyptian artifacts like mummies, statues etc.

Since it is situated besides some of the famous tourist destinations, lots of tourists visit here for a different experience. It is worth visiting this museum.
