People thronged a consumer fair on its last day in Agartala to shop for the latest goods from clothes to furniture. The 19th industrial trade fair showcased beautiful bamboo-cane furniture, delicate artificial orchids, decorative items and also famous silk embroidered saris. The financer of the fair, North Eastern Development Finance Corporation said that such fairs gave a signal of revival of the state's traditional economy.
