Planting a million trees in seven hours is a record making event. This was recently accomplished in Raipur area of Chattisgarh state in India. The event was organized by the state government and aided by leading private sector companies. The attempt got a positive response. The Chief Minister of Chattisgarh inaugurated the planting spree by planting the first sapling.
